Previously, the Echoing Nightmare was only available only to seasonal characters, and included players having to battle against the increasingly powerful spirits of Nephalem warriors that have died for ever-increasing rewards. In order to gain access to Echoing Nightmare, players need to have obtained an Petrified Scream from an Greater Rift Guardian and transmute it inside Kanai’s Cube to be able to access the Echoing Nightmare.
This announcement that Echoing Nightmare will be sticking indefinitely comes on Diablo’s 10th anniversary. Blizzard is also celebrating by hosting a double bounty event that will last until season’s end. After completing five bounties in any given Act.
Players will be rewarded with an increase of twice the number of HoradricCaches as they do in normal. Blizzard has not yet announced the date Season 26 will end buy D2R ladder items, however, previous seasons have run between 17-18 weeks. Season 26 began around April 15.
